2007 Junior World Table Tennis Championships - Stanford University - Maples Pavilion from December 8 - December 16, 2007
190 competitors, ages 14 - 18, from 36 countries, competing in singles, doubles and mixed doubles.
- This position will assist the local organizing committee, dealing with tasks related to upcoming 2007 World Championship. This position requires strong organizational and communications skills, a "can do" attitude, and an ability to work with many people.
- School credit available upon request.
- $1000 honorarium available.
- Start dates as soon as possible. End date is December 20, 2007.
- Minimum time requirement-20 hours per week preferred.
Responsibilities and Areas of Interest include:
- Office Assistance - phones, visa correspondence, web site monitoring.
- Special Events - assistance in planning & executing for players and coaches.
- Media relations - credentials, outreach, lists
- Operations - assistance in operations of events
- Volunteers - Recruitment, Outfitting, Confirmation
- Technology support
- Sponsor solicitation
- Training Camp Duties
- Other responsibilities to be determined.
Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good customer service skills, dealing with many supporters
- Positive attitude, enthusiastic demeanor and excellent work ethic
