Phil Winters is currently the co-owner of Armor Gear, based in Mountain View, CA.
Prior to Armor Gear, Winters was the Vice President, Supplier Development of Fogdog Sports. He joined the company in January 1999 after a 20-year career in U.S. Naval aviation that included positions in leadership, strategic management, global logistics, operations and command of a U.S. navy squadron. His most recent duties were serving as commanding officer of Patrol Squadron 65 at Pt. Mugu, CA, where he led more than 400 men and women in the worldwide operation of nine aircrafts valued at more than $300 million. Winters graduated in 1978 from the U.S. Naval Academy with a B.S. in engineering and in 1996 from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where he was a Sloan Fellow.
