David A. DeRuff, Olympian

David A. DeRuff, a member of the 1984 U.S. Olympic Rowing Team, took sixth place in the Pair without Coxswain competition. In 1983, he competed on the U.S. Pan-American Rowing team, receiving the Gold medal in the eight-oared competition.

After his Olympic career, DeRuff was Financial Analyst - Morgan Stanley & Co., Product Manager - Hewlett-Packard, Managing Director - Banc of America Securities, and Managing Director - Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.

In early 2002, David DeRuff founded East Peak Advisors, a boutique investment banking firm serving emerging technology companies.

DeRuff received his bbachelor's of science degree in Business from the University of California, Berkeley and then his master of arts degree in Business Administration from the Harvard Graduate School of Business.
