In June 2000, Lloyd H. Dean joined Catholic Healthcare West, a private, not-for-profit health system of hospitals, ancillary facilities, home care and physician groups in California, Arizona and Nevada as President/CEO. Dean's prior experience included spending three years as COO and two years as executive vice president at Advocate Health Care in Illinois. He has also spent time as president at EHS Health Care Services in Illinois.
Dean has been involved on many boards and committees which include: American Hospital Association House of Delegates and Horizons for Youth Inaugural Leadership Council. Dean received his bachelor's and master's of art degrees at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. During his spare time, he enjoys basketball, biking, football, golf and music.
